This
week I had my last session of tutoring with Mitsue. She used our
session to tell me that she had decided to drop out of the CIES
program and that taking classes were too difficult for her,
especially since she was trying to launch her own tattooing business
in Tallahassee. Although I was sad to see that she was quitting, she
promised to keep trying to learn English and will practice with her
husband. For our last session we just went over some basic
pronunciations and also I had her finally complete the modal verb
worksheet I had made for her after our first session when I had
trouble teaching modal verbs successfully. Although I am sad to know
she won't be taking classes I really do hope she continues to
practice, because I truly felt that she had learned quite a bit since
our first session and I know she has been trying to learn for a
while.
