This was the third time that Mico and I met to work on essay writing. Since our last lesson, she successfully finished classes at CIES for the first quarter. For this lesson, she wanted me to help her correct and improve an essay she wrote for one her classes.
Firstly, we began the read through looking for structural problems.
Secondly, We checked her vocabulary usage. I had her look for possible synonyms that could be used to craft the essay.
Thirdly, We checked for grammar errors and sentence structure errors. I am helping her understand the over-all readability of an essay and how to make it smooth.
Lastly, we sharpened her thesis, and worked on her topic sentences.
