I met Dana at the FSU museum of fine arts.
There was the exhibition of Gabrielle Wu Lee thesedays, so we decided to meet at the art gallery.
I read pamphlet of her work while I wait for Dana, and found out the artist is Chinese, and got her MFA degree at FSU. She died several years ago, and it was celebrational exhibition to remember her. We stayed there more than an hour to appreciate her works.
We shared our feelings to her works, and talked to figure out her painting techniques because she used very interesting brush skills, I guessed.
There was an art class going on at the gallery, so I followed them to learn more about the artist. I concerned if it would be rude to listen to the teacher without permission, but Dana told me it's acceptable. Sometimes I hesitate due to the difference between cultures as a foreigner.
Dana graduated from Studio Arts at FSU, so she was familiar with that place.
We spent more time to look at the art pieces of basement of the gallery, and there were all different artists' works hung on the wall.
I told her my days in art studio at Univ. of South Carolina, And we talked about oil painting while we look at the beautiful works of Gabrielle Wu Lee.
