I had a picnic lunch with Ayoko on Landis Green the
Wednesday before she flew back to Japan. She wasn’t able to stay until the end
of the session because her classes started in early October. It was a great
chance to talk but a little bittersweet. I was surprised how quickly Ayoko and
I got to know each other and I’ll miss her. Ayoko told me all about her trip to
Orlando and Halloween Horror Nights and I told her about Stone Mountain and the
Georgia Aquarium. We showed each other the pictures from our trips and talked
about Ayoko’s plans for her last few days in Tallahassee and her best memories
here. We will try skyping when things settle down for her but it will
definitely be difficult with the 12 hour time difference.
