Jesse Marks CP4: Tea Tuesday

This week, I had the opportunity to sit and drink tea with Naser again! I swear everytime that we meet, He gets better at English and I improve in my Arabic. We have a system of communication that allows both of us to practice our languages! This meeting, our discussion shifted toward our families and our histories! I learned about the beauty and history of His families Islamic traditions and religion! He learned about my family's Jewish and Islamic background, and how it has influenced my family today. In Kuwait, Religion plays a bigger role in society than it does here in America. It is fascinating to see how that plays out when He arrived in America. Our discussions have given me insight into the life of a Kuwaiti Muslim being in America. He also has learned about the life of an American Christian living in Jordan with its ups and downs! This was definitely one of my favorite conversations with him!
