CP # 7 Jordan

Husain and I met at his apartment this past week to enjoy some tea. We began to speak about his upcoming Ielts test and different strategies that I like to use on standardized tests. We met a few times later in the week to review for the test but that's another blog subject. We spoke about different soccer teams that we liked. It turned out the Husain is not much of a sports fan and I couldn't believe that I was discovering this fact now. It blew my mind. We ended up talking about sports that we enjoy. This conversation drifted toward culture norms of the past and how they have changed in America. Before the 1970s the norms of Oman and America seemed to be close in relation although not close to the exact same. We next spoke about family and and how close family in America is the norm while close relations with the extended family is the norm in the Middle East.
