TP# 12 Jordan

Husain and I met at his apartment to discuss his upcoming IELT test. We continued to focus on reading and vocabulary. We read a paragraph about economic development policies in Singapore and answered questions about it. As I said in previous blogs, this was hard for a native English speaker. We then applied my strategy of using the topic sentences to find the answers in each paragraph. This session was more observe and assist for me and repetition from Husain. The key aspect that needed to consistently develop was his ability to speed read and my ability to help convey strategies that are helpful in a way he understands and can apply. This might be my last tutoring session with Husain but I will still be available until he succeeds in passing the test.
