TP# 11 Jordan

Husain and I met at his apartment in Colony Club to prepare for his IELT test. The subject that was troubling him the most was reading when faced with a time limit. I told him that the best strategy was to read the topic sentences and then read the questions and find the answers based on the topic sentences, essentially letting them be your guide. We read sample essays and tried to figure out the answers. I'm not gonna lie when I say that I was having trouble with finding the answers. This is not my forte. We persevered for two hours until we were both exhausted. The difficulty that Husain was having fluency with advanced vocab words like idiosyncrasy. This was a problem that could not be fixed in a couple of weeks, so we focused on smaller more commonly used words that could help with reading fast. We would meet again on this subject.
