I met Amanda at the library.
She came to America as a scholarship student, and she's majored in Industrial Engineering. She's going to take TOEFL test in December to enter the school. She thought she has weakness at speaking the most, and worried preparing for speaking test answers.
She missed the food of her country very much, and we talked a lot about food in her country, Brazil.
Her house in Brazil has a special grill for the bar-be-que which's called churrasqueira. She showed me the pictures of the grill, and it looked more like a fireplace to me. American Bar-be-que resemble a little to the traditional food in her country, but the taste is not as sweet as here.
She has good friends here, but they only speak in Portuguese, so she plans to have more friends from another countries to practice her English.
It was fun to talk with her, and we will meet soon again.
