I met Dana on Wedesday at Leon public library in the morning.
We talked about critical incident we had before. She told me her experience when she went to Turkey. She learned a funny sounded word in the country that I can't remember now, but means a little bad to say in public places. Her friend who is also American accidentally said the word in public in Turkey, and people looked at them in weird way.
I guess it can be happened when we go abroad, and learning new words without knowledge of cultural background and meaning.
I told her the difficulties I had when I just got to America long time ago. I couldn't think of one very specific critical incident, but everything was hard to me that time mostly because of language problems.
We spent more time talking about cultural differences between coutries we experienced before.
