Mel CP # 8

This week I met with Rafael during tea time and we spent most of our time together talking about a potential vacation for him to take during the mini 5 day break from CIES before classes start. He was thinking about going to NYC, which I highly encouraged but also told him it wouldn't be a lot of time to see the city in its entirety (but really what amount of time would be?) He also talked about going to D.C which iItold him would probably not be the best idea, since most of the city is shut down, at least the museums!We also talked about his plans for going to a masters program in the states. He told me about some scholarships he plans to apply for and although his dream school is Georgetown, he would have to settle for a Florida public school with this specific scholarship. I truly hope he gets it, because I know that he wants to study in the U.S. I also hope he got a chance to go on a trip! But i'll probably find out next time.
