CP #7 Mark G

On Thursday night Gilles came over to my house for an impromptu get-together. This was Gilles 4th or 5th time at my house and everyone welcomed him with wide smiles. Gilles and I talked about the end of his session at CIES and how he thought it went. I asked him about the next session and he told me that he was in fact planning to take the TOEFL next Saturday (and that he needed some help studying for it). We all laughed, talked, and played music. Gilles was particularly interested in the guitar. I showed him some chords and a simple song. Later in the night Gilles got to practice some of his writing skills. We played a game where everyone writes a poem together, with each person writing one line. Gilles was a little unsure of what to write (which is basically what he wrote) but in the end it came out really good. The rest of the night we just hung out and talked about music, food, Cote d'Ivoire, and such. In sum, a great time.
