TP#2 Sept 5, 3 p.m. Pam

ImEsl.comtely following my classroom obsa.mation I met with Jane for a tutoring session. I was excited to try to use the teaching techniques I had just observed in the listening class. Jane wanted to work on improving her listening and reading. I had copied a short passage about daily routines. Using modified speech, I read the passage. I asked Jane short questions to see if she understood what the general idea of the passage. I read the passage a few more times, and Observing the class previously gave me great insight into how best to help Jane in her listening skills.I told Jane to practice for listening skills by going to www.Esl.com and choosing a listening activity to listen to,and to choose a listening activity to practice for listening skills, and to write down any vocabulary words she did not understand. We ended the tutoring session by talking about what we were going to do over the weekend. Jane said that a few of her friends and her we're going to get together and have a party and look at movies. She asked what I was going to do over my weekend. I told her I had a full schedule of volunteer work, study and after I finished all of that I looked forward to spending time hanging out with my friends.
