TP# 9 Jordan

I met Nasser last week, for our tutoring session near the library. We engaged ourselves in a listening activity. The activity began by me reading a paragraph and and Nasser would have to outline what I said. I recited it slowly but I kept my accent due to the fact that he would eventually have to become comfortable with southern accents if he was to go to school here. The readings encompassed narratives about daily routines and I also used a couple of small newspaper articles. When I was reading I tried to use rudimentary vocabulary. I think that this exercise proved to be successful. Nasser seemed to grasp the overall knowledge that was presented. during the activity we did digress and started talking about random things but it seemed that we have both learned a lot from our tutoring sessions. I only had one more tutoring session with him and this will be the subject of my next blog.

  1. I think its good you read it slowly so that it'd be easier for him to understand what you were saying, especially through your strong southern accent! ;)
