I met Angel on Tuesday after her class at CIES building.
I brought an article which I copied at home from the book we used all the time.
It was a story about love between mom, little daughter, and grandpa who just passed away.
We read it together, and corrected pronunciation sometimes with help of electronic dictionary.
She understood easily when I gave her some example sentences when new vocabulary came up.
We talked about some parts in which we could share our feelings while reading.
After that she summarized the story into several sentences, and I gave her linguistic help when she needed it.
We chatted a little before and after the reading about her classes and everyday life around us. She talked about her sisters and a brother in her country, and I told her mine in Korea. She said it's expensive to call to Tazania, so she was using skype when it' available.
I think its good you gave her example sentences for the new vocabulary words to help her understand what the words mean in context.
