CP #7 Madison

Today I took Jessica, Douglass, and Emille to the FSU Rez to go canoeing because they had never been there before. When we got there, Douglass and I shared a canoe while Emille and Jessica shared a canoe. I have gone to the Rez a lot so I took them all the way back to the lake behind the first two lakes (you have to canoe through a small creek in order to get to the other two lakes). Jessica and Douglass really enjoyed canoeing and they want to come back with me again when I bring Erico- who unfortunately couldn't make it. After we went canoeing we took some pictures together by the beach. Then on the way home, Douglass taught me a famous Brazilian song called "Ai se eu te pego" and they translated it for me. Before I see them again, I plan to learn the song in English and Portuguese and learn the dance also so I can perform it for them. After we went canoeing I was hungry so I suggested that we all go to Chipotle, and my conversation partners agreed. Once we got to Chipotle I helped them order, and they all really enjoyed it. Jessica even said that the Chipotle reminded her of Brazilian food. Thursday Jessica, Emille, Douglass, and Erico will cook traditional Brazilian food for me, and then we will all play soccer. This will be a good night to experience some Brazilian culture- so I will probably sing my new favorite song for them. While we were at the lake Douglass also taught me some Portuguese. I can now say- "My name is Madison," "I can speak Portuguese," and "Hey, what's up with you?" I am very exited to see my Brazilian friends again on Thursday and I look forward to spending time with them doing things that are from their culture. :)
