TP #3 Hwa Won Lee

I met my second tutee, Isabella, for the first time today at the Leon public library.
We spent some time to get to know each other a little. She is from Brazil, and came to Tallahassee a month ago to study. She is preparing for the TOEFL exam to enter the university.
She said she likes coffee in her country better because of the difference in aroma. It seems like she misses foods in her country, too.
Her speaking was a little bit more difficult to understand than my another tutee. We had to ask, "Do you understand what I mean?" to each other several times.
I prepared two letter articles from home, and asked her to read together in taking turns. I suggest to take turns to my tutees, because I think it will ease their stress to read all alone.
We couldn't finish reading one article in an hour, because I had to explain many words to answer her questions. We might wanted to finish it, unless I had to pick my daughter up after school.
I worried that maybe this article is too challenging to her, but we will give it a try, and then decide together. She was willing to read the rest of the article at home.
I was glad to meet Isabella, and we made another appointment for next meeting.
