TP #2 Hwa Won Lee

I met my tutee for the second time today before the class.
I asked about her classes at CIES, and she said that grammar is the hardest class to her.
Her writing was very neat, and she liked composition class the most. She has plan to go to the community colleage after her language course at CIES.
I asked her if there is any specific way she want me to help with her study in English, and she want me to help her reading assignment. She has to read short articles, and write reflections about those stories. The questions were *What did you think about the book?, *Was it difficult to read?, and *What was interesting about it?.
We read two articles that I prepared for today's session together in taking turns, and I checked how well she comprehanded between the reading. It's been only one month after she came to America, but I thought her understanding in English is very good.
She talked about her younger sisters and a brother in Tanzania when we discussed about an article which is about love of family. It must been very hard time for her missing all her family in her country..
We read short stories, learned several new words, and talked about the feelings after we read the impressive stories today.
I hope she will enjoy her study in America, and looking forward to meet her in next session.
