CP 3 From Taiwan to Tallahassee

On September 3, 2013 I met Judy. Judy is from is from Taiwan. Her name in Taiwanese is Chih Jung Hsu. She has been in America for a few months. She lives with her brother, who is also a student at Florida State University. Judy enjoys living here in Florida. However, she admits life in Tallahassee is very boring. I asked Judy what she missed most about Taiwan. Judy said there was always something to do. In Taiwan, she rode her bike everywhere in the city, and would have fun with her friends. In just a few short weeks Judy has made several friends here, at fSU. Over the Labor day weekend she and a few friends went to Panama City Beach. She enjoyed being away from Tallahassee. Judy said the weather, the beach, and being with her friend, was so much fun! In her spare time, she enjoys watching Taiwanese and Japanese television shows. In the future we plan to have a movie night and watch some of these shows with a few friends.

  1. I met Chih-Jung when she was briefly my tutor! Haha how interesting, Pam. I'm glad you're partners. I think it's so interesting how many Asian students choose an English name. I made Chih-Jung repeat her name several times, and I realized to me it sounds a lot more like "Jih-Long." I hope you have a lot of fun together!
